Recently moved to dodge city from KC. Having been here for a while now, and having tried most of the Mexican places in town, this was the best. Food was terrific, drinks were good, service was good. Highly recommend

The food was overall fresh and service was good. I had the pastor tacos de pollo. Grilled chicken was delicious. It was grilled with onions and green peppers with lots of leftovers. The guacamole was bright green and looked/tasted like it was made just seconds before the food came out. BIG PLUS EH? We didn't have any drinks, but the drink menu was enticing.. just wasn't in the mood. There was a large beer selection, but I think they were all bottles. The ambiance is casual and comfortable. There's 3 flat screen usually playing soccer I assume. The place was clean and prices were right. I'd would def come back. There's also live music from 7pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday.

Great place to grab some delicious Mexican food. I ordered the combo plate with a chicken enchilada and beef tamale with a side of rice and beans. The tamale was my favorite, light and fluffy just the way they should be made. I was really looking forward to eating Mexican food because I was craving something spicy and then wash it down with Horchata. Sadly they do not offer Horchata.. But everything else was pretty amazing! Even the chips and salsa they bring out to you. Spicy salsa and chips that are not overly salted!

Stopped here on the way through town. Despite being 'difficult' customers our waiter was patient and got everything right. Chips and entrees were excellent! Drinks were good. Service didn't take long for us to get our food and they give you quite a bit if food too. Presentation and ambience good although benches were not super comfortable. Only downside was the place had some flies bugging us.

We ate here on Sunday afternoon before returning home. We enjoyed the food very much. I had the Santa Fe Chicken. My wife had the fajitas. Both were outstanding. Food was outstanding. Place was pretty busy. Service was ok. Staff was friendly. We would go back because the food was so tasty.

Dangerous because the food 1) is so delicious that you will ask for more even more entres and then you will gain weight, and 2) addictive so that you will keep going back there every chance that you can. Outstanding service and food. Doubt that it can be beat! . . . from an out of state visitor.

Chips and salsa were very good. Tamale was the best - highly recommend. I had a chicken enchilada. I didn't like the chicken seasoning. Tasted salty to me, whatever it was. Would try beef next time. Beans and rice were both below average by my taste. Really nice service as far as the waitress. The guys around all looked disinterested.

Stopped here while passing through Dodge City. Having been to many Mexican places I found Tres Amigo to be about on par with many others in just about every category....service, cleanliness, food, decor. It was good, but not out of this world. The fajitas were good, maybe a bit above average. I wasn't disappointed, but wasn't extremely impressed either. It was good, but not good enough that I would forgo trying something new if I ever happen to find myself in Dodge City again.

We have been working in Dodge city for several months....this is a new place with food on par with any big city....good value for tour money....this is by far the best food in the city. Service is good and friendly. If you fond yourself hungry in Dodge you will be pleased you stopped here. There is a large menu and a small bar

Very good food here. We stopped on our way through town. The food is fresh and well prepared. This isn't TexMex but closer to tradition Mexican fair. The beef and chicken in the enchiladas was flavorful, tender and juicy. There were three sauces on the enchiladas, green white and red. All were delicious but I liked the green the best. Good beans and rice as sides. Service was great, friendly and fast.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
